Its a little portrait I did of Aaron wearing this cute otter mask we got at the zoo. I swear, it looks so natural on him you’d think the otter was his very own spirit animal.

Well hey, BigCartel made me a featured shop on their blog.

They’re the company that powers the shop on my site, and I’m pleased as can be with them. I love Etsy and everything but some visitors just don’t want to be taken to another site to buy things. My Etsy shop is there for people who have warm fuzzies about them (as I do), but I wanted to offer an option, especially for people who’ve maybe never heard of Etsy.

Man, I’m just glad they both saved me from dealing with those pesky PayPal buttons. bluh.

If you’ve visited my site in the past maybe you’ve noticed I haven’t updated the portfolio for a while. I’m not lazy, I swear! I’ve been working on lots of new stuff that I’ll be posting very soon. It may look a bit different than what you’re used to seeing from me- I’ve been shifting away little by little from the style of my work you might have seen published to something closer to my personal style.

I’m super excited about posting some new work. I’ve started selling prints online and that’s encouraged me to bring out some new things. I mean, why not?

So I’ve decided to make some of the prints I have available now limited editions- you know, just to help me move on. So if you dig ‘em get them while they’re around, because after they’re gone, they’re gone for good!

Hey hey, the shop is open!

I’m doing my own printing on my beautiful new medium format, 8 color printer. The inks are all archival pigments and they look fantastic. I’ve chosen a lovely acid-free, museum quality 100% cotton rag stock, that has a similar texture and weight to the paper I use (I’d like them to match the originals as closely as possible).

Its taken a while but I just wasn’t satisfied with the results I was getting in print quality from outside print services… I’m too much of a control freak about color to not do it myself. Now you’ll know that they look exactly as I meant them to and that the prints are 100% archival.
