Man, I seriously want this thing. A chainmail pocket protector would be nice too.

Could be awesome.

People keep grumbling about how it’s going to wind up being Single White Female featuring Natalie Portman on acid. But I’ll be pretty satisfied if it turns out to be psychological, or unclear. Ambiguity isn’t always bad*, I mean the The Haunting of Julia with Mia Farrow was pretty creepy, yeah? And Aronofsky’s work has always had a dark 60s and 70s existentialist vibe to me so I won’t be surprised if it’s Repulsion-esque.

*but sometimes it doesn’t go well at all.

Also. Ryan Reynolds, yippee!

The comments on this article over at Ars Technica are a glass of mental mint julep after wading through the shallow end of the cesspool at Engadget yesterday.

I think someone asked me and Sunday to sketch this out for a backpiece once.

I want this bigtime.

I don’t know what this movie is about but I want to see it based on this poster.
Oh and Morrison. Whatever

I was just writing a gloomy post about my perennial obsession with trying to play the full Magnetic Windows version of Guild of Thieves on my Mac… and my inevitable failure.

I never beat the game (I got caught in an unwinnable state) and it still bugs me… since 1991. There, I admitted it. I’ve run the classic Amiga, C64 and Amstrad text versions using the magnetiX interpreter (among others) but for me the only way to fully regain my honor was to play it the way I did in the first place.

So I had just installed yet another really questionable emulator on my Mac and loaded up what turned out to be the text version. When my laptop went totally borko my automatic response to my technological failure was, as it has been since Aaron showed me this comic, Me am go too far.

But then. A gossamer Google thread lead to the files I’ve been looking for and an emulator that will run it properly.

Thank the internet gods! I finally got it.

I almost cried, I swear to god. Instead I ran around holding my laptop on high shouting

I love me some Brandon Bird. Pretty much anything he has a hand in is hilarious to me, including this show he curated based on Law & Order.

Each piece is an artist’s interpretation of a one-line episode summary from the DirecTV program guide

The one that made me lol was Lawyer is Secretly a Stripper by Brigid McCabe.

Law & Order: Artistic Intent … These are Their Stories

I know I know! Nobody can believe I’m not watching True Blood. But after just finishing the first book and seeing a few clips I’m afraid this might be a pretty accurate recap of every episode (except with more tittehs):

Don’t get me wrong- I have great and embarrassing affection for goofy sexy vampire stuff. But I don’t think I can handle the over the top accents and Sookeh’s adorably folksy southern moxie.

(On a side note, what is up with lateral incisors fangs? When did everyone stop making them the canines? Maybe it makes the actors better able to deliver lines but it just looks stupid)

Lordy this thing is sexy. Look at it!
