Hey hey, the shop is open!

I’m doing my own printing on my beautiful new medium format, 8 color printer. The inks are all archival pigments and they look fantastic. I’ve chosen a lovely acid-free, museum quality 100% cotton rag stock, that has a similar texture and weight to the paper I use (I’d like them to match the originals as closely as possible).

Its taken a while but I just wasn’t satisfied with the results I was getting in print quality from outside print services… I’m too much of a control freak about color to not do it myself. Now you’ll know that they look exactly as I meant them to and that the prints are 100% archival.

So drop by the new shop and take a look. You can always see what prints I’m offering by visiting here:

I’m really into porcelain lately. So much lovely kitschy stuff popping up everywhere, so little cash. Boo. Here are a few favorites:

Sarah Chihat- Wolf

Wolf wall piece by Sarah Cihat (also see MoCo Loco).

Doll head rings from Mixco (seen on NotCot)

Unbelievably cute Man Spider and Triple Totem Kitty both from Megan Bogonovich in her Etsy shop. I can’t believe these are only $45.

I’ve got to find a ceramics class around here.

I just watched a rerun of Tales from the Darkside: Distant Signals starring Lenny von Dohlen, who I thought was just dreamy, in an fey 80’s sweater vest kind of way.

It reminded me that I want to buy Electric Dreams on dvd. Gah, I love that movie. Its got a fantastic soundtrack (Moroder, Phil Oakley, Boy George, ELO), Virginia Madsen (Irulan), Bud Cort (from Harold & Maude) as Edgar the computer and Lenny, the disheveled spectacled hottie.

And I loved him as Harold in Twin Peaks too. Der.
